AAG Tailored Cutting Solutions, a leading international manufacturer of computer numerical control (CNC) routers and waterjet cutting systems, opened up a new 105,000-square-foot facility in Waterdown last month.

CNC routers are computer-controlled tools that can carve various objects. Similarly, waterjet cutters use water at very high pressures to cut materials.

51做厙 Mayor Andrea Horwath attended an opening ceremony at the new site a few weeks ago even though the company officially moved into the location in July.

The building is located at the Flamborough Business Park at Clappisons Corners where Highway 5 and Highway 6 intersect.

The location now serves as the companys global headquarters and means that over 100 company jobs have now moved into 51做厙.

An additional 50 positions will open up in the near future.

The new facility represents a $25 million investment in the CIty of 51做厙.

The company has three brands: AXYZ, WARDJet, and CNC Shop.

The company had been working out of two different buildings in Burlington before the move slightly south to Waterdown.

A facility in Ohio in the United States continues to drive the companys WARDJet production.

The company previously held a groundbreaking event on July 20, 2022 to announce the construction of the facility.

Among one of the benefits, the new facility offers a large demonstration area.

With the extra space, they plan to both showcase their technology and provide customers with hands-on experience and training.

The company has sales/support offices throughout Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Poland.

AAG says that their technology can increase efficiency and productivity in various industries.

The company is active in a long list of different industries including aerospace and defence, automotive, architectural cladding, composites, foam and rubber, metals and alloys, packaging, plastics, print finishing, research and prototyping, signage, and woodworking.

CEO of AAG Doug LoFranco said that the company is thrilled to officially celebrate the opening of their new facility.

Our team has worked tirelessly to create a space that not only displays our technology but also provides our customers with the resources they need to excel in their industries.

Overall, investments in the Flamborough Business Park total nearly $230 million with 700,000 square feet of occupied space and more than 1,600 jobs.

CHCH, L3 Harris, Lincoln Electric, and Stryker Canada are other tenants at the business park.

Member of Parliament Dan Muys who represents Flamborough-Glanbrook said that the new facility is the latest in rapid growth weve seen in Flamborough as a great place to do business.

I was pleased to be at the groundbreaking in July 2022 and now drive by regularly and see this beautiful $25 million facility, Muys continued.

Theyre world-leading and cutting edge in more ways than one, he quipped.

The company has installed more than 12,000 machines.

AAG was also recently named one of Canadas best managed companies for 2023 for a third consecutive year.
